Single Minded

The guys have three of our Single Minded Single Malt Whiskies on offer at Durham Markets. Douglas Laing’s Single Minded are small batches of 2-4 casks blended to create a Single Malt with extraordinary depth and character. Caol Ila 10 Years Old has a nose of smoky bacon crisps, burnt wood and a palate of peated barley and honeycomb, whilst the Craigellachie 10 Years Old brings a moreish buttered bread, mint and citrus zest and runs to a chocolate and sweet oakfinish. For those with a sweet tooth, Single Minded Dailuaine 10 Years Old is fully Sherry-matured and delivers a nose and palate of vanilla, mocha and juicy plums!

The Gauldrons

The Gauldrons Campbeltown Malt Scotch Whisky tells the story of the eponymous dark, stormy coves on Campbeltown’s west shores and literally means “Bay of Storms”. Over yonder is where a spider building his web with great patience (but great difficulty) inspired King Robert the Bruce to try, try and try again, having been defeated by his enemies. The Gauldrons is a small batch marriage of Single Cask Single Malt whiskies from Campbeltown’s distilleries, with gentle peat smoke and sweet cereal on the nose. The palate brings a maritime quality, sugar and wood spices, followed by a finish bringing puffs of smoke and rock pools. Bottled at 46.2% and proudly without colouring added and non-chill filtered.

Provenance Blair Athol 5 Years Old

Blair Athol produces a brilliantly bold spirit and here this Single Cask Single Malt Whisky has been aged in a refill Sherry Butt for its full 5 years. Don’t be fooled by its young age, it is packed full of typical Sherry matured whiskies; treacle toffee, molasses, barley and spice. Bottled at 46% and proudly offered without colouring or chill filtration.
